Hello
A bit about me
I am a Marine Biologist and Ecologist with a doctoral degree from the Universities of Split and Dubrovnik, Croatia. I am currently working at the Faculty of Science at the University of Split, as the Administrator for the Department of Physics. I am passionate about discovering and engaging in activities outside my comfort zone that catalyze my personal and professional growth, whether it’s exploring unique opportunities, learning new skills or meeting new people.
As the department administrator, I offer advice and support doctoral students throughout the cycle, from their registration to graduation. I provide administrative support to the department Head, team of lecturers and academic boards. I also worked in the Technology Transfer Office responsible for initiating and supporting collaboration between academia and the industry.
During my graduate studies, I have lived abroad as an IAESTE exchange student (Uni. Konstanz and BAM Institute, Berlin) and volunteered often in various nature protection and sustainable development projects. My doctoral thesis was on the sustainable management of marine resources and decision support systems. As a side activity during the summer months, I support our family business, where I manage the apartment rentals in our family house at the coast. This gives me the opportunity to meet people from diverse world cultures and engage in exciting conversations about marine and social sustainability.
